On the rugged coastline of the unique Isle of Skye, south of Dunvagan, the snow-white little Talisker distillery lies magically on the shore of a bay. Two brothers founded the distillery in 1831, and after their deaths, numerous others took over in an attempt to continue running the distillery. All failed until a financial manager and a wine and spirits merchant succeeded in taking over. Talisker was triple-distilled until 1928, after which it was only double-distilled. After a fire in 1960, the distillery was rebuilt true to the original. Today, Talisker belongs to the Diageo spirits group.

This Talisker matured in heavily burnt oak casks on the remote Isle of Skye. It is the smokiest Talisker produced by the distillery to date. It is the successor to Talisker Storm and is supplied without ageing statement.

Tasting Note

Colour: Amber with red accents.

Nose: Salty, smoky, spices, oak, apples.

Taste: Intense, smoky, peppery, complex, sweet, rounded, savoury, fruit, blackcurrants, liquorice, spices.

Finish: Langs, warm, powerful, smoky.
