The Tomatin Distillery in the Scottish Langs looks back on a long history and was once the largest malt whisky distillery in Scotland with 23 stills. Today, the distillery deliberately focuses on slower production with just four pot stills, resulting in high-quality single malt Scotch whiskies with a distinctive balance. At the same time, Tomatin focuses on sustainable production methods and operates an environmentally friendly steam boiler that is heated with locally produced wood pellets. For every tree felled, two new ones are planted.
