Rémy Martin was founded in 1724 and is a family business. The Rémy Martin house is located in the French district of Grande Champagne. This district is also known as a wine-growing region. The grapes for Rémy Martin come from Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne.

In 1731, the Accord of Louis XV introduced the law that the planting of new vines required royal authorisation. Rémy Martin received this authorisation 7 years later, in 1738.

The Remy Martin 1738 Accord Royal is a blend of approximately 240 eau de vie, 65% Grander Champagne and 35% Petite Champagne grapes and is aged between 4 and 20 years in Limousin oak barrels.

Tasting Note

Colour: Mahogany.

Nose: Plums, figs, creamy toffee.

Flavour: Apricots, peaches, notes of spices, caramel and chocolate, hints of cinnamon and chocolate.

Finish: Langs, creamy.
