The Quiet Man AN FEAR CIUIN 8 Year Old Single Malt Irish Whiskey is an outstanding, handcrafted Irish whiskey that is appreciated for its exceptional smoothness and depth of flavour. With an alcohol content of 40% vol. and matured for at least eight years in first-fill bourbon casks, this single malt develops a harmonious balance between sweet, fruity and spicy notes. The name "The Quiet Man" (in Irish: An Fear Ciuin) is a tribute to the father of founder Ciaran Mulgrew, a bartender who spent his life listening to others tell stories - but was always a quiet connoisseur himself.

Distillation is carried out according to traditional Irish craftsmanship in copper pot stills, which gives the whiskey its particularly smooth character. Thanks to maturation in American ex-bourbon casks, it develops a pleasant vanilla and honey sweetness, complemented by notes of ripe fruit, malt and gentle oak spice. Tasting Note

Colour: Bright gold.

Nose: Fine aromas of vanilla, honey, ripe pears and subtle oak notes.

Flavour: Soft and sweet with malt, vanilla, honey, apple and light spice nuances.

Finish: Smooth, medium-long and slightly dry with notes of caramel and toasted oak.

This Irish single malt is best enjoyed neat or with a drop of water. It goes perfectly with dark chocolate, roasted nuts or mild blue cheese. It also shows its versatility in classic cocktails such as a Whiskey Sour, Irish Manhattan or an Old Fashioned.
