Dos Maderas PX 5+5 Years Old is an exceptional spirit from the Spanish brandy and sherry house Williams & Humbert; its name – which translates as ‘two woods’ – refers to its unique ageing process. Produced from a carefully selected blend of rums from Barbados and Guyana, it undergoes a unique double ageing process that gives it its distinctive character.

For the first five years, the spiced rum matures in American oak casks in the Caribbean before being shipped to Jerez, Spain. There, it is stored for a further five years in two different types of sherry casks, including Pedro Ximénez casks, in which it spends two years.

The result is a perfectly balanced spirit that combines both Caribbean exoticism and the Spanish sherry tradition.

Tasting Note

Colour: Mahogany.

Nose: Sweet notes of dried fruit and vanilla.

Palate: Ripe figs, raisins, hints of vanilla, honey, caramel, cocoa flavours.

Finish: Long-lasting, pleasantly fruity, slightly sweet.
