Tasting Note

Colour: Light gold with amber reflections.

Nose: A powerful combination of smoky peat, sweet vanilla notes, citrus fruits and a subtle hint of oak, which combine perfectly with the warm, fruity sweetness from the different types of cask.

Taste: Full-bodied and harmonious, with intense flavours of peat, spices, dark fruits and a warm oak spiciness, which are perfectly complemented by the sherry sweetness and the lighter vanilla note from the bourbon casks.

Finish: Langs and smooth, with a balanced blend of smoky, fruity and woody notes that linger pleasantly on the palate.

Laphroaig Four Oak is perfect to enjoy neat or on a small ice cube to further develop the complex flavours. This whisky goes perfectly with mature cheeses such as Comté or Gruyère, as well as dark chocolate, and brings out the flavours wonderfully.
