Named after the remote cape "Mull of Oa", which stretches as a headland along the island of Islay, this whisky reflects the rugged and untamed nature of the region. The whiskies it contains are first matured in a variety of casks: sweet PX sherry casks, spicy virgin oak casks and American oak casks. This diverse selection of casks ensures a perfect balance between sweetness, spice and the characteristic smokiness that makes Islay whiskies so special. With an alcohol content of 46.6% vol., this whisky unfolds its powerful yet balanced variety of flavours.

Tasting Note

Colour: Light gold.

Nose: Intense peaty notes, paired with smoky wood, vanilla and fruity flavours, including citrus fruits and a hint of caramel. A light spicy note of oak and pepper rounds off the profile.

Flavour: Full-bodied and rich with intense smoky and peaty notes that meet chocolate, fresh fruit and a subtle oak spice. The combination of sherry and bourbon cask maturation brings out sweet, fruity flavours that combine with the smoky depth of the whisky.

Finish: Langs and warming with a smoky, peaty finish and a hint of sweetness and spicy oak.
