Togouchi is produced by Chugoku Jozo, a distillery in the city of Togouchi in Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan. The distillery is located in a natural cave system that was originally built as a railway tunnel, but was later converted into an ideal environment for maturing whisky. The cool, damp conditions in the tunnels provide an optimal climate for maturing whisky, resulting in a product that is rich in flavour and character.

To produce Togouchi 15 Years, the distillery uses a unique blending process in which the best Scottish malt whiskies are carefully selected and combined with Canadian grain whiskies. This blend is then stored in oak casks where it matures for over a decade. This lengthy maturation process in oak casks ensures a smooth and flavourful product that is popular with whisky lovers worldwide.

Tasting Note

Colour: Amber.

Nose: Elegant, yellow fruits, sweet spices, citrus fruits.

Flavour: Sweet, vanilla, notes of peat.

Finish: Langs, dry, notes of dark chocolate, hazelnuts.
