The Mari Mayans brand is one of the best-known producers of the regional speciality Mari Mayans Hierbas Ibicencas, which is appreciated for its aromatic diversity and unmistakable Mediterranean character. The basis of this Ibizan herbal liqueur is a complex blend of 18 different herbs, roots and citrus peels, many of which grow directly on Ibiza. The individual botanicals are carefully macerated one by one so that their natural flavours are extracted and preserved particularly gently. Only then are the different botanicals blended together with great care to create the typical character of this Spanish herbal liqueur.


The well-known ingredients include aniseed, lemon and orange peel, juniper berries, thyme, rosemary, mountain mint and fennel, which together characterise the multi-layered flavour profile. Wine and alcohol from molasses are used as the alcoholic base, which is then processed with demineralised water and around 160 g of sugar per litre to create this aromatic hierbas liqueur from Ibiza. The presentation is also particularly characteristic: when bottled in the 1-litre bottle, real sprigs of herbs are added to the bottle, which not only have a decorative effect, but also underline the traditional character of this Mediterranean herbal liqueur.
