Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin is a unique Irish gin that combines the traditional art of distillation with exotic botanicals. Produced at The Shed Distillery in the west of Ireland, this gin clearly sets itself apart from other gins through the use of gunpowder tea, a slow-dried Chinese green tea. This gives the distillate a slightly tart yet refreshing note that harmonises perfectly with the other botanicals.

The base is classic juniper, complemented by a fascinating blend of Asian and local botanicals such as lemongrass, cardamom, star anise, grapefruit, orange and lime peel. The combination of these ingredients creates an exceptionally fresh and multi-layered flavour that delights both on its own and in cocktails. The traditional copper still gives the gin its special purity and wonderfully smooth texture.

Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin is ideal for a gin & tonic, preferably with a neutral or slightly floral tonic water and a slice of grapefruit as a garnish. It also reveals its full potential in cocktails such as a Gin Basil Smash or a classic Negroni. Its exotic flavour also harmonises perfectly with Asian dishes such as sushi, Thai curries or Vietnamese summer rolls.
