Talisker PORT RUIGHE Single Malt Scotch Whisky 45.8% Vol. 0.7 l + GB is an expressive bottling from the traditional Talisker Distillery on the Isle of Skye. The name Port Ruighe (pronounced "Portree") is the Gaelic name of the harbour Portree, which is still the island's gateway to the world. This naming links the bottling with the distillery's seafaring history and maritime heritage.


The whisky is first matured in ex-bourbon casks and refill oak casks before being finished in port casks. This double maturation process gives it a fruity depth that harmonises perfectly with Talisker's typical maritime and peaty-smoky notes. With an alcohol content of 45.8% vol., it is strong, full-bodied and intense - a whisky that combines both the salty coastal spice and the sweet fruitiness of the port casks. Tasting Note

Colour: Amber with reddish reflections.

Nose: Intensely smoky and maritime, with red fruits, dark chocolate and spices.

Flavour: Full-bodied, peppery and complex, with peat smoke, berries, chocolate, toffee and a salty sea breeze.

Finish: Langs, warm and spicy, with smoke, dark fruits and elegant wood structure.

Talisker Port Ruighe unfolds its full potential neat in a nosing glass or with a drop of water, which emphasises the fruity port notes. It is an excellent culinary accompaniment to grilled lamb, game dishes, strong cheese or smoked salmon. It also unfolds exciting contrasts with dark chocolate and emphasises its characteristic balance of smoke and fruit.
