This rum matures for up to 8 years in ex-bourbon barrels made from American oak before being refined for a further 6 months in Bordeaux wine barrels. This two-stage barrel management ensures a unique combination of bourbon sweetness, gentle roasted flavours and an elegant, fruity depth. The finish in wine barrels creates subtle notes of red fruits and a fine, subtly smoky nuance that gives the rum its smooth, individual character.
