The Royal Oporto 10 Years Old Tawny Port 20% Vol. 0.75 l + GB is an elegant Aged Tawny Port from Portugal, which develops a complex and harmonious flavour due to its long barrel maturation. Produced by the traditional Real Companhia Velha, this port wine from the Douro Valley is one of the classic representatives of a 10 Years Old Tawny Port. The grapes come from selected vineyards in the renowned Douro region, where they ripen under optimal climatic conditions. The grapes are harvested by hand in several stages in order to select only perfectly ripe grapes. After the harvest, the grapes are gently pressed and traditionally fermented in stone fermentation vats. The wine then matures for at least ten years in old oak barrels, developing its characteristic tawny colour and complex aromas of nuts, dried fruit and fine wood notes. With 20% alcohol by volume, this 10-year-old Tawny Port is particularly round, soft and complex.

Tasting Note

The glass reveals a warm golden-brown colour with amber reflections, the nose reveals a complex bouquet of dried fruit, nuts and a fine hint of honey, on the palate the port wine is velvety and full-bodied with an elegant sweetness and nuances of caramel and toasted oak, the finish is soft, round and long-lasting.

Served slightly chilled at around 12 to 16 °C, this 10 Years Old Tawny Port shows its elegant structure and long-lasting finish to optimum effect.
