Hayman's of London Gently Rested Gin is a tribute to classic gin production in the traditional British style. Produced by the renowned Hayman's Distillery, which has been known for its authentic London Dry Gins for over 150 years, this special gin combines the purity of a classic dry gin with gentle maturation in oak barrels. With an alcohol content of 41.3 % vol., this gin presents itself with an extraordinary depth and a subtle woody note, which gives it a particularly soft and harmonious structure.

Gently Rested Gin is distilled using the traditional London Dry method and then placed in old whisky and bourbon barrels for three weeks. This gentle wood ageing gives the gin additional complexity and softens the sharpness of the juniper without masking the classic gin flavours.

Tasting Note

Nose: Mild juniper flavours with hints of citrus fruits, fine spices and a gentle woody nuance.

Taste: Soft and balanced, with classic juniper flavours, a subtle sweetness of vanilla, light spice and subtle notes of matured wood.

Hayman's Gently Rested Gin is ideal for classic gin cocktails with a twist, such as a Martinez or an Old Tom Collins. Its fine woody flavour also comes into its own in a gin & tonic with Indian tonic water - garnished with an orange zest or a cherry. Thanks to its gentle wood ageing, it also harmonises perfectly with mature cheese, dark chocolate or roasted nuts, which emphasise its fine complexity.
