A crucial step in transforming bourbon into Tennessee whisky is charcoal mellowing. In this process, the freshly distilled whisky slowly passes through a three-metre-thick layer of sugar maple charcoal. Gentleman Jack is distinguished by this special filtration process as well as its unique barrel-ageing process. Only the brand’s own barrels, made from high-quality American white oak, are used; the insides of these barrels are gently ‘toasted’ to caramelise the wood’s natural sugars. After barrel ageing, this Tennessee whisky undergoes charcoal mellowing a second time.

This double charcoal mellowing not only gives Gentleman Jack its unmistakably smooth flavour, but also makes it unique worldwide.
