Kaniché Rum XO Double Wood Artisanal Rum is an elegant premium rum from Barbados that combines Caribbean ageing with French cooperage. First, the rum is aged for many years in young ex-bourbon casks in the tropical climate of the Caribbean, during which time it develops its aromatic base and full-bodied character. The casks are then shipped to the Cognac region of France, where the Cognac Ferrand distillery allows the rum to mature further for several months to over a year in small Cognac casks. This traditional double ageing process lends the XO Double Wood Rum additional elegance, depth and complexity. Bottled at 40% ABV in a 0.7-litre bottle and presented in a high-quality wooden box, this edition makes an excellent gift for rum lovers.


Double cask ageing is a historic method that was already in use in the 18th and 19th centuries and requires a great deal of expertise from the cellar master.
