Peat's Beast Batch Strength is a powerful, untamed single malt for true peat lovers. With an alcohol content of 52.1 % vol., this whisky is presented at cask strength (batch strength) and reveals its full, smoky potential. Produced in Scotland, the exact distillery remains a secret - which makes this whisky even more mysterious. It is not chill-filtered and contains no colouring, which preserves its authenticity and original strength.

The whisky belongs to the category of heavily peated malts and is made from peated barley, which is known for its intense smokiness. Its production follows the traditional Scottish art of distillation, maturing in oak casks to further develop its flavours. Despite its uncompromising peatiness, it has an amazing balance between sweetness, spice and smoke.

Tasting Note

Colour: Light gold.

Nose: Strong peat smoke, medicinal notes, dried fruit, vanilla, slight hint of citrus.

Flavour: Intensely smoky, earthy and spicy, notes of dark chocolate, honey, roasted nuts and black pepper.

Finish: Langs and warming, with a lingering peatiness, oak spice and light sweetness.

This powerful whisky is best enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water to further develop its flavours. It goes perfectly with strong dishes such as grilled meat, savoury cheese or smoked salmon. Dark chocolate or savoury caramel desserts can also complement the intense smoky notes wonderfully.
