Lajita Mezcal Artesanal Blanco is an authentic, traditionally produced mezcal from Mexico that focuses on the unadulterated flavour of the agave. Produced in the Oaxaca region, the cultural centre of mezcal production, this Blanco Mezcal reflects the age-old craftsmanship of Mexican master distillers. With an alcohol content of 40% by volume and bottled in the classic 0.7-litre bottle, this mezcal stands for genuine originality, depth and regional identity.

Only Espadín agave is used for production, which is slowly cooked in traditional earth pits over open fires - a process that gives the mezcal its characteristic smoky flavour. After fermentation and distillation, it is bottled without being aged in barrels, allowing Lajita Blanco to retain its clear, agave-typical flavours in unadulterated form.

Tasting Note

Colour: Clear.

Nose: Expressive and earthy, with notes of roasted agave, wood smoke, citrus fruits, white peppercorns and herbs.

Flavour: Powerful and lively, with an intense agave character, light smokiness, green herbs, fresh lime and mineral undertones.

Finish: Langs, dry and spicy, with smoky depth, refreshing spiciness and a balanced aftertaste.

Lajita Mezcal Artesanal Blanco is ideal for drinking neat, ideally at room temperature in a Copita or nosing glass to fully appreciate its complex flavours. It is also an excellent choice for classic mezcal cocktails such as Mezcal Margarita, Oaxacan Negroni or Paloma with a smoky flavour. It is an excellent culinary accompaniment to roasted pumpkin seeds with chilli and lime, grilled meat, ceviche, tacos al pastor or even dark chocolate with sea salt.
