Its name TRIPLE 1 refers to the special ageing method in which the rum is stored in different barrels to achieve maximum flavour intensity. Due to Panama's tropical climate, it matures faster than European distillates and develops its characteristic sweetness, spiciness and woody flavour. Despite its high cask strength, the Malteco 11 Años remains surprisingly smooth and harmonious, which makes it interesting for Purists and lovers of strong rums alike.
