Mermaid Small Batch Gin is a premium London Dry Gin with an ABV of 42 per cent, available in a 0.7-litre bottle, which has been handcrafted in small batches on the Isle of Wight since 2014. Ten carefully and ethically sourced botanicals are used in its production, giving the gin its distinctive character. Key ingredients include organic lemon peel, grains of paradise and wild-harvested rock samphire, which grows on the coast of the Isle of Wight. This special botanical is known on the island as ‘Mermaid’s Kiss’ and gave the gin its name. Rock samphire was once regarded as a sign of safety for sailors and smugglers reaching the coast after stormy seas. In this way, Mermaid Gin combines the island’s maritime history with modern distilling craftsmanship and a distinctive coastal character.
