The Glenfiddich 15 OUR SOLERA single malt Scotch whisky is one of the most distinctive bottlings of the Glenfiddich Distillery and exemplifies the spirit of innovation within the Speyside single malts. This bottling is the only single malt Scotch whisky from the distillery to be produced using the Solera method. The central Solera vat has never been completely emptied since 1998 and is permanently kept at least half full of whisky. This means that some of the earlier bottlings are always retained, giving the whisky a constant, fascinating flavour over the years. Whiskies from Oloroso sherry casks, bourbon casks and new oak casks are blended together for the Glenfiddich Our Solera Fifteen. This is not a pure sherry cask whisky, as the maturation does not take place entirely in the Solera system, but the marriage is limited in time and specifically aims for balance and harmony.


Bottled at 40%, the Glenfiddich 15 Years Old is balanced, silky and full-bodied. Since the realignment of the Core Range in 2019, this bottling has deliberately been named Our Solera Fifteen to emphasise the special nature of the process. The characteristic triangular bottle design symbolises the three core ingredients of water, yeast and grain, while the V-shaped engraving stands for the Valley of the Deer, the distillery's origin. This edition is offered in a high-quality gift box and combines traditional production with contemporary design.

Tasting Note

Colour: Golden, with a reddish tinge.

Nose: Complex, sweet heather honey, vanilla toffee, ripe dark fruit.

Flavour: Silky smooth, sherry oak, marzipan, cinnamon, Ingwerer, full-bodied.

Finish: Rich, lingering sweetness, balanced, long-lasting.

The Glenfiddich 15 OUR Solera is ideal for pure enjoyment in quiet moments and unfolds its strengths at a moderate drinking temperature. In culinary terms, it harmonises particularly well with desserts based on almonds or marzipan, such as almond cake, financiers or sponge cake. It also harmonises well with apple desserts with cinnamon, crème brûlée or dark chocolate with a medium cocoa content. This Speyside single malt whisky also goes very well with mild to medium-strength hard cheeses, such as matured Gouda or Comté, and impresses with its balanced, long-lasting overall impression.
