The Se Busca Mezcal Artesanal Reposado 40% Vol. 0.7 l is an exquisite, handcrafted mezcal made from 100% Maguey Espadín (Agave Angustifolia), which embodies the perfect balance between tradition and maturity. The name "Se Busca", Spanish for "Wanted", symbolises the search for freedom, character and passion - values that make this mezcal unique.

Produced in Oaxaca, the best-known region for mezcal production, its production begins with the traditional roasting method. The agave hearts, also known as "piñas", are roasted in earth pits with hot stones and wood, which gives the mezcal its distinctive, smoky notes. After fermentation with natural yeasts, it is double distilled in copper stills. In contrast to the young joven mezcal, this reposado matures for several months in oak barrels, which gives it a softer structure, a golden colour and additional aromas of vanilla and caramel.

With an alcohol content of 40% by volume, it offers a smooth yet powerful flavour experience that will delight mezcal lovers and beginners alike.

Tasting Note

Colour: Light gold with warm amber reflections.

Nose: Fine smoky notes, mixed with sweet vanilla, roasted agave, caramel and subtle wood notes.

Flavour: Full-bodied and smooth with notes of honey, toasted oak, almonds and a hint of cinnamon.

Finish: Langs, slightly spicy and harmonious with gentle smoky notes and a hint of dark chocolate.

Se Busca Mezcal Artesanal Reposado is ideal for drinking neat at room temperature to allow its smooth barrel flavours to develop to their full potential. It is an excellent accompaniment to grilled meat, spicy tacos, dark chocolate or mature cheese. For cocktail lovers, it is particularly suitable as a base for sophisticated drinks such as a Smoky Old Fashioned, an elegant Mezcal Manhattan or a modified Mezcal Margarita, in which the ageing of the Mezcal lends a special depth.
