This special bottling is one of the few peated single malts from the historic The GlenDronach Distillery and draws on traditional methods of Scottish whisky production. In the past, peat was used to dry the barley towards the end of the malting process, resulting in a gentle, earthy smoky aroma. It is precisely this traditional style that Traditionally Peated reinterprets. It is matured in a combination of Pedro Ximénez, Oloroso sherry casks and port casks, which lend the subtle peaty smoke additional depth and a harmonious, fruit-forward character. This expression thus combines the classic GlenDronach style with an elegant smoky note.
