Saint James Royal Ambré Rhum Agricole is a characterful, amber-coloured rhum agricole from Martinique, produced in accordance with the strict guidelines of the AOC Martinique. The Saint James distillery, founded in 1765, is one of the oldest and most renowned rum houses in the Caribbean. Based in Sainte-Marie on Martinique, it combines traditional craftsmanship with the protected quality standard of the Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée (AOC). Tasting Note

Colour: Warm amber with golden highlights.

Nose: Expressive, with notes of fresh sugar cane, vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon and delicate oak. Accompanied by subtle fruity hints of banana and candied citrus fruits.

Palate: Smooth and well-balanced with spicy oak, caramelised sugar, clove, dried fruit and a hint of cocoa. The fresh, grassy notes of the rhum agricole remain pleasantly present.

Finish: Medium to long, dry and spicy with a pleasant combination of wood, spices and slightly floral notes.

Saint James Royal Ambré is ideal as an ingredient in classic cocktails such as Ti’ Punch, Mai Tai or Rhum Old Fashioned. It also reveals its complexity when enjoyed neat or on the rocks – for example, as a digestif or aperitif with a slice of lime.
