Tullibardine 15 Years is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Tullibardine Distillery in the Scottish village of Blackford in Perthshire. The distillery was founded in 1949 on the site of a former brewery and has been producing whisky ever since. In 2003, the distillery was saved from closure when a team of independent investors, led by former investment banker Michael Beamish, took it over. Since then, the Tullibardine Distillery has gone from strength to strength and has received numerous awards for its whiskies.

The production process for Tullibardine 15 Years begins with locally grown barley, which is malted and then ground using pure water from the surrounding Ochil Hills. The resulting wort is fermented using a special strain of yeast and then distilled twice in traditional copper stills. After distillation, the spirit is matured for at least 15 years in carefully selected oak casks before being bottled.

Tasting Note

Colour: Amber.

Nose: Delicate, dried hay, notes of baked apples, cloves and vanilla ice cream.

Palate: Freshly baked scones, a hint of strawberry jam, cream, delicate spices.

Finish: Long-lasting, slightly nutty.
