La Réunion, an enchanting island in the Indian Ocean, is known worldwide for its expertise in the production of both traditional molasses and agricole rums. The renowned Rivière Du Mat distillery combines traditional craftsmanship with modern technology and utilises two distillation methods: single distillation for aromatic rums and triple distillation for lighter variants.

French oak barrels, which previously housed first-class cognac, are mainly used for ageing, giving the rum its exceptional depth and complexity. This particular bottling was aged for 10 years in a combination of oak and ex-cognac barrels, giving it a unique flavour and harmonious balance.

Nose: Slightly smoky, nougat, roasted hazelnuts, pineapple.
