Normindia Gin Distillé is an exceptional gin that combines the French art of distillation with exotic influences from India. It was created by Pierre Martin Neuhaus, the owner of Domaine du Coquerel. After a six-month trip to India, where he gathered numerous inspirations, and further experiences in France and the USA, Pierre decided to develop a gin that reflects the freshness and fruitiness of the estate's own Calvados - soft and smooth, with a unique flavour.

Normindia Gin Distillé is distilled in the same small copper pot stills that are normally used to produce Calvados. This tradition ensures a particularly gentle and pure distillation, which makes the gin both smooth and intense in flavour. The gin contains 15 botanicals, including classic ingredients such as juniper, Ingwerer, cinnamon and coriander as well as exotic botanicals from India such as lilies, cloves and oranges. This perfect blend ensures a perfect balance of spice, sweetness and smoothness.

Tasting Note

Colour: Clear.

Nose: A refreshing combination of citrus and juniper, accompanied by spicy notes of cloves and cinnamon, with a hint of Ingwerer and a floral complexity.

Flavour: Soft and smooth, with a harmonious balance of fresh apples, oranges, juniper, coriander and a subtle hint of lilies.

Finish: Langs and smooth, with a pleasant spiciness of cloves and Ingwerer, perfectly rounded off by the fruity sweetness of the apples and oranges.

Normindia Gin Distillé is ideal for a classic gin & tonic, especially in combination with a Mediterranean tonic water and a garnish of orange zest or rosemary. It also adds an elegant and fruity flavour to cocktails such as a Gin Martini or a Gin Fizzers. In culinary terms, the gin goes particularly well with fresh seafood, grilled vegetables or lightly flavoured Asian dishes, which complement its aromatic complexity wonderfully.
