Description
Cinzano Vermouth Rosso 15% vol. 1 litre is one of the most important classics of the Italian Vermouth tradition and has been an indispensable part of every well-stocked bar for generations. Its roots lie in Turin, where it was created from numerous herbs and spices according to an old recipe that has been preserved to this day. As the first vermouth launched by Cinzano, Rosso marked the beginning of the company's international success story and still forms the core of the range today. The history of vermouth goes back to the brothers Carlo Stefano and Giovanni Giacomo Cinzano, who founded Casa Cinzano in Pecetto in Piedmont in 1757, laying the foundations for the house's traditional style. The combination of selected wines and carefully balanced botanicals creates the aromatic basis that gives this vermouth its characteristic identity and makes it indispensable in both classic aperitifs and modern mixology.
Today, Cinzano Rosso is considered one of the most universal vermouths in Italy. Its rich flavour and stable structure make it the ideal ingredient for classic cocktails and long drinks, while it also cuts a convincing figure on its own or with a dash of soda. Its deep red colour is the result of the large number of herbs and spices used, which together create a clear, stylistically typical profile. Cinzano's style combines reliability, tradition and aromatic depth to create a vermouth that is appreciated all over the world and is a firm favourite in both gastronomic and private bars.
Tasting Note
Deep red-brown in the glass. Vanilla, black cherries, fine spicy accents and a hint of caramel on the nose. Round and smooth on the palate with subtle sweetness, followed by a complex mix of various spicy notes and bitter nuances. The finish is balanced, aromatic and long-lasting.
This Cinzano Rosso Vermouth is ideal for classic cocktails such as Negroni, Manhattan, Americano or modern aperitivo variations. Its aromatic structure is particularly clear when enjoyed neat on ice or with soda. In culinary terms, it goes well with antipasti, savoury snacks, olives, Parmigiano Reggiano, air-dried ham or dark chocolate. Its versatile flavour makes it an ideal companion for aperitifs, bar creations and convivial evenings.
