The Del Maguey Crema de Mezcal 40% Vol. 0.7 litre is a unique mezcal liqueur from Mexico that combines the smoky depth of traditional mezcal with the mild sweetness of a liqueur. It is produced by the renowned Del Maguey Mezcal brand, which has been working with a network of independent producers in Oaxaca since the 1990s and is fully committed to the traditional, sustainable production of mezcal using old methods.

The basis for this liqueur is the famous Del Maguey Vida Mezcal, which is made from 100% Espadín agave. It is roasted over wood fires in earthen stills and distilled in small copper stills - an elaborate, purely artisanal process that gives the distillate its typical smoky character. For the Crema de Mezcal, a small amount of agave syrup is added to this distillate, resulting in a round, smooth and sweet mezcal liqueur that makes the introduction to the world of mezcal particularly pleasant.

With an alcohol content of 40% by volume, this mezcal liqueur offers the aromatic intensity of a classic mezcal, paired with a balanced, creamy texture. Ideal for Purists, explorers or creative mixologists.

Tasting Note

Colour: Clear to slightly opalescent with a silver shimmer.

Nose: Smoky and sweet at the same time, with notes of roasted agave, vanilla, honey and citrus.

Flavour: Soft and round with a combination of sweet agave syrup, smoke, caramel, lemon and fine pepper.

Finish: Langs, smoky and sweet with mineral undertones and fine warmth.

It is particularly exciting when used in twists on classic drinks, such as a smoky espresso Martini, a creamy Paloma twist or in a dessert cocktail with vanilla ice cream and roasted pineapple.
