Bacoo 3 Years Old White Rum is a premium white rum with an alcohol content of 43 per cent, available in a 0.7-litre bottle, produced at the Alcoholes Finos Dominicanos distillery in the Dominican Republic. Only freshly pressed sugar cane juice is used in its production. The entire production process – from fermentation through distillation and three years’ ageing in oak casks to bottling – takes place directly at the source. This ensures that the rum’s authentic character is fully preserved. After ageing, the rum is carefully filtered through charcoal, giving it its crystal-clear colour without losing any of its matured flavours. The production facility is also one of the most environmentally friendly, self-sufficient rum distilleries in the world, underlining the brand’s commitment to sustainability. The name Bacoo stems from a Caribbean legend: a Bacoo is a small spirit with magical powers, said to live in a corked rum bottle and grant its owner’s wishes.
