At 46% vol. and bottled in a 0.7-litre bottle, this blended malt pays homage to the whisky tradition of the city of Perth, which was once known as the centre of the art of whisky blending.

Old Perth was originally founded by Peter Thomson, who created high-quality whisky blends in the 20th century. Today, the brand is managed by Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers and stands for characterful blended malts made exclusively from single malts from the Speyside region.

This bottling is matured exclusively in sherry casks, which gives it a particularly rich, fruity and spicy flavour. As the whisky is unchill-filtered and uncoloured, it retains its natural character and full-bodied texture.

Tasting Note

Colour: Deep gold with amber reflections.

Nose: Rich aromas of dried fruit, dark cherries, sultanas and roasted almonds, accompanied by fine spicy notes and oak.

Flavour: Full-bodied and complex with intense notes of sherry, dark chocolate, orange zest and toffee. Spicy accents of nutmeg and cinnamon give the whisky additional depth.

Finish: Langs and warming with lingering nuances of dried fruit, cocoa and a pleasant oak spice.

This sherry-matured blended malt is best enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water to emphasise the sherry cask notes even more. It harmonises particularly well with dark chocolate, caramelised nuts or mature cheese. It also provides a luxurious flavour experience when paired with a strong espresso or a fine cigar.
