The Dictador Icon Reserve aged 20 years is also distilled from the fermentation of native "Suger Cane Honey" - the honey-like sugar cane syrup which, unlike molasses, is an essence of fresh sugar cane juice - partly in copper alembics and partly in steel tanks. The process used is the column distillation method. This produces a medium-bodied rum with a pleasantly aromatic flavour. Maturation takes place in American oak barrels. This is the only way to ensure that all the secrets are retained in the liquid flavour. Incidentally, Dictador rum is not sweetened like many other "main stream rums" today. Nevertheless, it has a subtle natural sweetness, which makes it particularly harmonious.

The 20-year-old Dictator won gold at the Catavinum World Wine & Spirits Competition 2016.

Tasting Note

Colour: Intense amber.

Nose: Rich and spicy aromas, dried seeds, roasted coffee aromas, honey, toffee, oak.

Flavour: Complex notes, caramel, cocoa, vanilla notes, honey, hints of coffee.

Finish: Langs, elegant, citrus fruit, oak.
