Tasting Note

Colour: Light gold with soft amber reflections.

Nose: Fresh aromas of citrus fruits and green apples, combined with a subtle oak spice and a salty sea note that reflects the distillery's proximity to the coast.

Flavour: Full-bodied and balanced, with fruity notes of apples and pears, a gentle vanilla sweetness and a fine spiciness of oak and cinnamon. The maritime saltiness rounds off the flavour experience.

Finish: Langs and pleasant, with a slightly salty, warm oak spice that gently fades away.

The Old Pulteney 12 Years Old is ideal to enjoy on its own or with a drop of water to further develop the flavours. It goes wonderfully with smoked fish, especially salmon or mackerel, and also harmonises well with mature cheeses such as cheddar or gouda. This whisky is also ideal with grilled meat or BBQ dishes, which benefit from its light spiciness and salty sea breeze.
