As far back as ancient times, cinnamon was prized by the Greeks, Romans and Egyptians and was regarded for centuries as the ‘spice of kings’. For this speciality, Bottega Distilleria uses only whole sticks of high-quality Ceylon cinnamon, which is regarded as the finest variety of cinnamon. These are slowly macerated in water and alcohol, allowing the natural flavours to unfold particularly gently. The intense cinnamon tincture is then harmoniously blended with fine grappa, water, alcohol and sugar, giving the liqueur its unmistakable character.


The result is a well-balanced spiced liqueur that combines intense cinnamon notes with a pleasant sweetness and a smooth texture.
