With an alcohol content of 48% vol., the Laphroaig Quarter Cask is strong, yet soft and round on the palate. The special finish in small, traditional casks intensifies the contact between the whisky and the wood, resulting in a more intense flavour with distinct notes of wood and smoke. Laphroaig is appreciated by lovers of peaty whiskies for its balance of powerful smoke, fine sweetness and pleasant spicy notes. Tasting Note

Colour: Golden amber, with soft reflections.

Nose: Intense peat smoke, maritime salt notes, subtle vanilla aromas, sweet malt tones, subtle citrus freshness.

Taste: Powerfully peaty, smoky and spicy, accompanied by sweet vanilla flavours, toffee, notes of oak, slightly salty seaweed and peppery spice.

Finish: Langs and smoky, intensely peaty, warming and spicy, with a fine sweetness and woody notes.

The Laphroaig Quarter Cask Whisky is particularly recommended for pure enjoyment or with a few drops of water to develop its full flavour. It harmonises ideally with intense cheeses such as Roquefort or Cheddar as well as with smoked fish dishes, seafood or strong game meat. It is also the perfect accompaniment to an aromatic cigar.
