Talisker The Distillers Edition Double Matured 45.8% Vol. 0.7 l + GB is an excellent single malt whisky from the renowned Talisker Distillery, which is based on the Isle of Skye. This whisky is part of the Distillers Edition range and is characterised by its special double maturation, in which it is first matured in ex-bourbon casks and then stored in Amoroso sherry casks for additional maturation. These two maturation processes give the whisky additional complexity and a pronounced sweetness that harmonises perfectly with the typical smoky Islay note.

Tasting Note

Colour: Warm gold with bright amber reflections.

Nose: Strong aromas of rough peat, combined with a fruity sweetness of dried fruit and caramel, which is complemented by a subtle sherry note. A hint of spices and vanilla rounds off the nose.

Taste: Full-bodied and complex with a harmonious blend of smoky peat, spiced fruit, toffee and a sherry sweetness that harmonises perfectly with the oak spice and a hint of cinnamon and pepper.

Finish: Langs and warm with lingering peat smoke mingling with a sweet sherry note and a light oak spice.

Talisker The Distillers Edition is ideal for pure enjoyment, with the double maturation allowing the flavours to unfold to the full. With a drop of water, it develops even more nuances that emphasise the smoky, fruity and sweet character.
