The Luigi Francoli Grappa Gattinara Elvata in barriques is an exceptional grappa that embodies the heritage of the famous Francoli family distillery in Ghemme, Italy. Since 1875, the distillery in the renowned Piedmont region has been producing the finest grappa, which stands out both for its quality and its sustainable production. As one of the largest and best-known distilleries in Piedmont, Francoli was the first grappa distillery to have no impact on the environment and ensure a neutral carbon footprint. For example, the heat for the distillation process is obtained from plant-based fuels. As part of the "Impatto Zero" project, Francoli has also taken part in a forest conservation project in Costa Rica, which covers a protected area of 340,000 square metres.

Grappa Gattinara Elvata matures for several years in barriques, which gives it a special depth and complexity. The flavour of this fine grappa is intensified by the wood maturation, making it a truly luxurious treat. With an alcohol content of 44% vol., it is strong and balanced and offers a full-bodied, harmonious flavour experience.

Flavour: Full-bodied and smooth, with a perfectly balanced blend of spicy and sweet notes, accompanied by a hint of chocolate and oak.

Finish: Langs and warm, with a pleasant, slightly spicy and sweet note in the aftertaste.
