The Kavalan Triple Sherry Cask Single Malt Whisky combines three selected cask types - Oloroso, Pedro Ximénez (PX) and Moscatel Sherry Casks - to create a multi-layered whisky profile characterised by sherry. This combination creates a harmonious blend of ripe dried fruit, subtle caramel notes and the elegance typical of Kavalan, which is due to the warm, humid climate of Taiwan and the rapid progression of cask maturation there. Each component of the triple sherry cask contributes to the depth of this bottling and lends it a structured complexity that is naturally created by the long cask maturation. The red-brown colour and the high-quality gift box underline the claim of this edition.


The interplay of the three types of sherry creates a single malt full of character, which displays a particularly balanced interplay of sweetness, spice and fruit thanks to the influences of Oloroso, PX and Moscatel. Tasting Note

Colour: Red-brown.

Nose: Ripe berries and dried fruit, grapes, citrus, chocolate brownie, toffee, cinnamon, clover, spices, rosemary.

Flavour: Dried sherry fruit, candied fruit, caramel, honey, warm and soft with a gentle texture.

Finish: Langs, harmonious and complex.

This single malt harmonises perfectly with fig compote, dark chocolate, dark chocolate tart, date biscuits, hazelnut pralines and brownies, whose sweet and nutty notes pick up on its sherry-accentuated structure. It is also suitable with mature Manchego, mimolette or mild blue cheese, which contrast its fruity and spicy character. As an accompaniment to cosy evenings, quiet moments or as an elegant digestif, the whisky shows off its long-lasting harmonious depth to its best advantage, especially when enjoyed neat or with a mild cigar.
