Tasting Note

Colour: Pale gold with amber highlights.

Nose: Intense aromas of fresh citrus fruits, vanilla, cinnamon and a hint of dried fruit. The Mizunara oak imparts subtle notes of coconut and wood.

Palate: Full-bodied and complex, with a harmonious blend of caramel, spiced fruit and the delicate spiciness of Mizunara oak, which together offer a pleasant and well-rounded tasting experience.

Finish: Long and warm, with a subtle oakiness and a hint of sweetness that perfectly round off the smooth yet powerful finish.

The Shinobu Pure Malt is excellent enjoyed neat, ideally well chilled or on the rocks to allow the flavours to unfold. This whisky also showcases its complex flavours perfectly as a base for elegant whisky cocktails such as a Whisky Sour or an Old Fashioned. It pairs particularly well with mature cheeses, smoked salmon or fruity desserts such as Tarte Tatin or grilled apples, which bring out its fruity and woody notes wonderfully.
