Plantation Rums have long since ceased to be an insider’s tip. These excellent rums are sourced mainly from the Caribbean and South America, and are then brought to France, where they are given their finishing touches. In Ars, France, the rum is subsequently aged for several months in small, decommissioned oak Cognac casks. This method of ageing is known as ‘double ageing’, a technique that was already in use in the 18th and 19th centuries.

Plantation Rum Guyana Single Cask Teeling Single Malt Irish Whiskey Finish 2007 is aged for 13 years in bourbon casks and then for one year in FERRAND casks. This rum is finished in Teeling Single Malt Irish Whiskey casks.
