Made from 100% malted barley. Distilled in a distillery. Mashed, distilled and matured in the USA. Matured in oak barrels (smaller than 700 litres). Distilled to no more than 160 proof/80% by volume. Bottled at 80 proof/40 vol. % or more.

The answer and interpretation of Westward Whiskey:

Take two-row barley grown and malted in the Northwest. Every drop comes from the distillery in Portland, Oregon. Malted, distilled and matured in the heart of the American Northwest. Matured in new American, lightly charred, 53-gallon oak barrels. Distilled to approx. 142 proof/71 vol.%. Bottled at 90 proof/45% by volume.

The Westward Belgian Ardennes is produced with an Ardennes farmhouse yeast. This yeast was named after the Belgian Ardennes forest. The whisky is matured in Virgin American Oaks.

The bottling is neither chill-filtered nor coloured.

Tasting Note

Colour: Amber.

Nose: Fruity, notes of pepper, cherry strudel, bananas.

Flavour: Rich, spicy, notes of ice cream cones, sour cherries, honeysuckle.

Finish: Langs, hay, fresh cream, caramel.
