The Great Northern Distillery is known for producing Two Stacks Irish Whiskeys, a brand that is deeply rooted in the Mourne Mountains of Ireland. The brand was created by three friends, Shane McCarthy, Donal McLynn and Liam Brogan, who place particular emphasis on quality and traditional craftsmanship.

At Two Stacks, every step of the process is carefully executed: The barrels are emptied by hand and each bottle is labelled by hand to ensure the highest quality. Two Stacks THE FIRST CUT Irish Whiskey is an artful blend of light and dark grain, single pot still, and double and peated malt.

This complex whiskey is matured in a selection of the finest ex-bourbon, oloroso sherry and virgin oak casks, giving it its distinctive aroma and rich flavour. This bottling is neither chill-filtered nor coloured, which underlines its authenticity and the pure character of the whiskey.

Tasting Note

Colour: Radiant amber.

Nose: Fruity, spicy, notes of peach skin, vanilla pudding, toasted oak, buttered bread, cereals.

Flavour: Fruity, notes of charred oak, lemon peel, toffee, white pepper, oak resin.

Finish: Langs, smooth, sweet, smoky caramel, spices.
