Tenuta di Biserno Bibbona Toscana is an excellent Tuscan red wine that reflects the rich tradition and exceptional terroir of Tuscany. Made from a careful blend of 40% Cabernet Franc, 30% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Petit Verdot, this wine combines the best characteristics of international grape varieties that thrive perfectly on the region's loamy soils. After the harvest, the wine is aged for 15 months in new French barriques, which gives the wine a complex structure and rich flavours of vanilla and spices. The wine then matures for a further 12 months in the bottle to harmonise the aromas and achieve a perfect balance between fruitiness and elegance.

Tasting Note

Intense ruby red with purple reflections in the glass. The nose is seduced by a wealth of aromas, including ripe black fruits such as blackberries, cherries and plums, which combine with spicy notes of tobacco, black pepper and cedar wood. A hint of vanilla and fine roasted flavours from the ageing in barriques add to the complexity of the bouquet. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and powerful, with ripe, well-integrated tannins and a fresh, elegant acidity. The fruity notes continue and harmonise perfectly with the spicy and woody aromas. The finish is long and full, with a beautiful depth and a subtle, spicy aftertaste.

This wine is an ideal accompaniment to full-flavoured dishes such as fillet of beef, lamb or game, especially venison or deer. Tenuta di Biserno Bibbona is also an excellent accompaniment to strong cheeses such as Pecorino, Comté or an aged blue cheese. It is ideal for festive occasions or as an accompaniment to a luxurious dinner.
