It is matured for over 15 years in a combination of sherry casks, bourbon casks and American white oak casks. Okinawa’s subtropical climate, with its warm, humid storage conditions, accelerates the maturation process and intensifies the interaction with the casks, allowing fruity and botanical nuances to develop particularly strongly. These climatic characteristics lend the 15-year-old Japanese rice whisky a dense structure and aromatic depth.
