Founded in 2017, The Oxford Artisan Distillery grows grain within an 80-kilometre radius of the university city of Oxford, which is used to produce the whisky after harvesting. Rye, wheat and barley are harvested using sustainable methods dating back to the 1800s. Weeds are controlled naturally using clover to minimise the impact on the fields.

The distillery's two stills, named Nautilus and Nemo, were handcrafted by South Devon Railway Engineering.

The Graduate Whisky combines whiskies from a total of six new American oak casks from different cooperages. These casks also differ in roast levels, sizes and climate zones. The grain used comes from Meng grain stocks. This is a mixture of rye and wheat, which are grown together.

Tasting Note

Colour: Amber.

Nose: Floral, spicy of aniseed, pepper, mint, fruity of bananas and apples, Ingwerer, roasted almonds.

Taste: Fruity blackcurrants, bananas, creamy pudding, spicy chilli and black pepper.

Finish: Langs, creamy, peppery, espresso, smoky notes.
