Plantation Rums have long since ceased to be an insider tip. The excellent rums are mainly collected in the Caribbean and also in South America and then brought to France, where they are given their finishing touches. In Ars in France, the rum is then stored for several months in small discarded oak cognac barrels. This type of ageing is known as "double ageing", a technique that was already used in the 18th and 19th centuries.

This rum is a traditional pot still rum that undergoes a two-week fermentation. The rum matures for 8 years in ex-bourbon barrels. The last 2 years are spent in the cool cellars of Château de Bonbonnet in used Ferrand barrels.

Tasting Note

Colour: Amber.

Nose: Intense, complex, fresh, notes of fruit, wood.

Flavour: Fruity, notes of banana, peach, plums, cloves, cinnamon, vanilla, biscuits, mint, roasted coffee, almonds.

Finish: Langs on the palate.
