Billy Walker is the Master Blender at MacNair's. He is one of Scotland's most respected blenders and has developed countless award-winning spirits in his 50 years in the business.

Billy selects the world's best rums and brings them to the GlenAllachie Distillery. There, the final cask selection is made and blended by Billy. This is then bottled as Exploration Rum. It is bottled without artificial colouring or chill filtration.

Panama's volcanic soil is located in Central America and is the ideal growing environment for sugar cane.

The rum is distilled from sugar cane and matured in American oak barrels in Panama's tropical climate. After expert blending, the rum is secondarily matured for over 2 years in barrels that previously held Peated Single Malt.

Tasting Note

Colour: Golden.

Nose: Rich, notes of banana, apricot, coconut, cigar smoke.

Flavour: Fruity, notes of peach, mango, pineapple, sugar, mocha, orange peel.

Finish: Langs on the palate.
