The Solera-Vat process adds continuous flavour nuances to the whisky by bottling only half of the whisky in the casks at a time before it is re-bottled. This means that the casks still contain the original liquid.

Tasting Note

Colour: Deep gold with amber reflections.

Nose: A complex blend of ripe fruits such as apples and pears, accompanied by a fine spicy note and a hint of honey and vanilla.

Flavour: Full-bodied and round, with sweet toffee and nutty tones accompanied by a light oak spice and a hint of sherry.

Finish: Langs and warm with a gentle, spicy oak note supported by a subtle fruitiness.

The Glenfiddich 15 Years Old Perpetual Collection VAT 03 is perfect for enjoying neat and experiencing the flavours in their full depth. It pairs perfectly with mature cheeses such as Comté or a strong cheddar. Dark chocolate with a high cocoa content also goes perfectly with the rich, sweet and spicy notes of this whisky.
