Since the 1970s, Judas Priest has established itself as one of the biggest and most influential bands in the heavy metal genre, and this whisky carries the band's legacy with pride.

Judas Priest whisky is made from premium barley malt that is gently smoked over beechwood fires to give it a subtle smoky flavour. The four-year maturation in ex-bourbon casks provides a light vanilla and caramel flavour, while the finish in ex-Rye and ex-Brandy Jerez casks gives the whisky additional complexity and fruity depth. This exclusive edition is limited to just 12,300 bottles and is bottled at 47% alcohol by volume, giving it a remarkable intensity.

Tasting Note

Colour: Golden amber.

Nose: An intense smoky aroma with flavours of caramel, grilled nuts, a light vanilla sweetness and a hint of fruitiness from the Jerez casks.

Flavour: Full-bodied and rich with smoked malt, dark chocolate, oak, caramel and a subtle fruitiness from the rye and brandy casks.

Finish: Long lasting, warm and complex with an elegant wood and smoke note accompanied by a subtle sweetness and a slight spicy nuance.

The Judas Priest 50 Heavy Metal Years Single Malt Whisky is ideal for drinking neat, especially at room temperature or with a few drops of water to bring out the complex flavours. It goes perfectly with matured cheese, grilled meat or dark chocolate to complement the smoky and fruity notes in style. Alternatively, it can also be used as a base for a powerful whisky old fashioned or whisky sour.
