The Lazy Dodo XO Chronicles Rum is a masterfully created blend consisting of various rums from different vintages and matured for at least 12 years in oak barrels. This long maturation gives the rum a remarkable complexity and depth. After ageing, the Lazy Dodo XO is finished in American white oak barrels, which gives the flavours an extra dimension and adds subtle oak spice and woody notes. This rum is a true meisterwerk from Mauritius, which impresses with a harmonious balance of sweetness, spice and fruitiness.

Lazy Dodo XO Chronicles Rum is known for its smooth yet intense flavours, which are characterised by caramel, vanilla, tropical fruits and a subtle woody note. At 40 % vol., this rum is suitable both for pure enjoyment and as a base for sophisticated cocktails, which bring out its complex flavours wonderfully.

Tasting Note

Colour: Deep amber with golden reflections.

Nose: Caramel, vanilla, ripe tropical fruit, oak, hints of honey and spices.

Flavour: Full-bodied and smooth, aromas of caramel, dried fruit, honey, oak, light spicy notes, dark chocolate.

Finish: Langs and smooth, with a harmonious blend of sweet and woody notes and a delicate spiciness that lingers.

Lazy Dodo XO Chronicles Rum is ideal for drinking neat or on ice to fully develop its complex flavours. It harmonises particularly well with dark chocolate, mature cheese such as Gouda or Brie, as well as with fruity desserts or caramel biscuits. For cocktails, it is an excellent choice for a Rum Old Fashioned or a Rum Manhattan, where its complex flavours come into their own.
